About CPA’s Nan Jing Branch

The main business of China Postal Airlines is to handle Express Mail Service (EMS) for China Post. To improve EMS’s competitive edge, China Post decided to develop a logistics hub center in NanJing for CPA in 2006. The first phase of the project, which is a mail processing center, will be finished in 2015. By that time, this Hub Center will become the largest mail processing center in Asia, and third largest one in the world. Therefore, to expedite the progress, and also to better support the flight operations of the Hub Center, we established the CPA’s NanJing Branch on July 29th 2009. And there were 5726 flights handled by the NanJing Branch in the year of 2009. In accordance with the rules and regulations stipulated by the CAAC, we set relevent offices and personnel. Under the leadership of NanJing Branch, we now have 6 special departments. They are Department of Security and Flight Technology(In charge of operation safety, security, mail scanning, flight technology management and aviation medicine), Department of Flights(In charge of pilot management and flight operation), Department of Maintenance Engineering(In charge of maintenance and management of aircraft), Department of Flight Management(In charge of dispatch and flight operation control), Department of Post Cargo Transport(In charge of mail loading and mail handling) and Department of Ground Services(In charge of daily operations of the apron and relevant managements).
